Riesenbeck, Germany – October 03, 2026 – Hannes Ahlmann (GER) and Madness delivered a winning performance at Riesenbeck International, taking the €28,200 Grand Prix of Riesenbeck CSI 2* in Germany. The German rider partnered with the 2017 chestnut Dutch Warmblood stallion to produce a double-clear performance in the 1.45m Grand Prix and secure the top spot after a competitive jump-off.

Ahlmann and the talented Madness stopped the timers in 44.45 seconds in the decisive round, edging fellow German Sören Suppert (GER) and Can Tici, who finished on 45.16 seconds. Tomma Thiesen (GER) completed the podium with Django Riff, also faultless in the jump-off in 46.06 seconds.

The victory adds another notable result to the record of Madness, whose pedigree combines two of showjumping’s most influential stallions in Kannan and Emerald. For Ahlmann, the Grand Prix triumph at Riesenbeck International represents a strong finish to the CSI 2* competition, with the home rider and his chestnut partner proving unbeatable over the 1.45m track and taking the lion’s share of the €28,200 prize fund.
