Calgary, Canada – July 02, 2026 – Australia’s Zoe Brown reigned supreme in the $32,609 Friends of the Meadows Cup CSI 5* – 1.50m, one of the feature competitions of the North American Tournament CSI 5* & CSI 2*, the concluding event of the renowned Spruce Meadows Summer Series at Spruce Meadows. Partnering with the talented Immer Fortuna, Brown delivered two faultless performances before stopping the jump-off clock in an unbeatable 39.25 seconds to secure the victory.
Brown’s winning partner, Immer Fortuna, is a 2013 grey Dutch Warmblood (KWPN) gelding by Berlin out of Colandro. The pair combined precision and speed in the jump-off, comfortably outpacing the rest of the field to earn the win. Mexico’s Eugenio Garza Perez (MEX) finished second aboard Chalouries PS after producing a double-clear effort, being timed in 41.11 seconds during the tiebreaker.
Ty Simpson (USA) completed the podium with Fany Car, also fault-free on both rounds while crossing the final timers in 42.23 seconds.
The jump-off featured three combinations that managed to keep all the rails in place, setting up a battle against the clock. Brown wasted no time, riding an efficient and forward track that proved untouchable. Garza Perez also produced a polished round but finished nearly two seconds adrift of the winning pace, while Simpson rounded out the top three with another consistent double-clear performance.
As the final stop of the Spruce Meadows Summer Series, the North American Tournament once again showcased world-class sport, with international riders delivering high-quality performances throughout the week. Brown’s victory aboard Immer Fortuna capped off the CSI 5* competition in impressive fashion, adding another memorable result to the prestigious venue’s summer calendar.
