Sariego, Spain – July 03, 2026 – The sixth edition of the Yeguada Finca Maeza CSI 3* is officially underway. On Friday, July 3, the opening day featured the first three classes of the competition, producing one Dutch victory and two Spanish wins.
The standout Spanish success came from Jesús Garmendia (ESP) in the day’s feature class, which brought the programme to a close. The experienced rider from San Sebastián delivered a masterful jump-off performance in the €28,500 BMW Autosa Trophy CSI 3*, where seven combinations qualified for the decisive round from a field of 50 starters. Displaying his trademark competitiveness aboard an outstanding “Callias,” Garmendia and the veteran grey gelding stopped the clock nearly two seconds ahead of their closest challenger, fellow Basque rider Iván Serrano (ESP) riding “Corvara Blue PS.”
Just seven hundredths of a second behind Serrano, Asturian veteran Luis Jesús Escobar (ESP) claimed third place aboard Edesa’s Jento de Belle Vue.

The winner’s trophy was presented by José Luis Fernández Álvarez, President of Grupo Autosa, accompanied by Cristina Bares, representing Yeguada Finca Maeza, and Álvaro Arrieta, President of Oxer Sport.
