Wellington, United States – March 26, 2026 – Ireland’s Daniel Kerins (IRL) and the 10-year-old Diacette opened the day with a win in the $12,000 Vogel Speed Challenge CSI 2* – 1.45m on Thursday morning of Rolex Finale Week at the 2026 Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF). Stopping the clock at 57.36 seconds, the 20-year-old rode to victory with Georgina Bloomberg’s Diacontinus x Quinta Real Hanoverian mare.
“I’ve had her for just over a year now—we have stepped up to two-stars and three-stars, and then this winter we’ve done the U25,” said Kerins of the mare that carried him to a 6th-place finish in the BrainJuice U25 Grand Prix Series Final during WEF 10.
Close behind Kerins was Hilary McNerney (USA) riding her own Brava, a 12-year-old Balou du Rouet x Graf Top Hanoverian mare. Closing out the podium was Paris Sellon (USA) with Willow Grace Farm’s 9-year-old Zangersheide mare, Calida Z (Cornet Obolensky x Carthago).
Kerins, 20, started riding for Bloomberg last year. “She has been unreal to me—given me great chances and then gave me the ride on a mare like Diacette. I’m so grateful to be given the opportunity,” he said.
