Double Delight for Edouard Schmitz at the Andalucía Sunshine Tour CSI 4*

Vejer de La Frontera, Spain – February 06, 2026 – The penultimate day of the first week of the XXXII Andalucía Sunshine Tour once again delivered a packed, high-level schedule, with 13 classes run across five arenas. The undisputed star of the day was Edouard Schmitz (SUI), who produced a brilliant double, claiming victory in both the main Big Tour class and the feature Medium Tour event. The Swiss rider made the most of his experience and current top form to secure the wins, further underlining his strong position in the Longines FEI Ranking.

The highlight of the Big Tour, the €28,250 Jump-off Challenge CSI 4*, was won by Edouard Schmitz (SUI) aboard Dillen 111 Z, a 10-year-old bay Zangersheide gelding (De Flor 111 x Clovis). Schmitz was the fastest of the 12 clear rounds that made it into a jump-off contested by 18 combinations. Italy’s Riccardo Pisani (ITA) finished second with Scooby-Lou, while Belgium’s Gilles Thomas (BEL), who has climbed to fourth place in the latest Longines FEI Ranking, took third with Plus Belle van T&L.
