Jordan Coyle Picks up Right Where He Left off Winning the Telus Cup CSIO 5* at Spruce Meadows

Calgary, Canada — September 03, 2025 — The 2025 Spruce Meadows Tournament CSIO 5* & CSI 2* got underway on Wednesday early on the International Ring with the $38,835 Telus Cup CSIO 5* – 1.50m.  74 horse/rider combinations stepped through the Clock Tower for the first time this tournament. It was a one-round competition against the clock. The 450m track had to be completed in 68 seconds.

Ireland’s Jordan Coyle (IRL) continued from where he left off after his successful summer tour at Spruce Meadows. This summer were his prize money totaled over $480,000  CAD. Coyle added to the pot today, with a victory in the Telus Cup aboard For Gold. The pair flew through the finish line posting the fastest clear round in a time of 57.16 seconds.

The closest ones to the eventual winners were Sanne Thiessen (NED) and Cupcake Z, just three-tenths of a second behind while Kara Chad (CAN) and Corinna Z rounded out the top three in 58.66 seconds.

2) Sanne Thiessen (NED) & Cupcake Z – 0 – 57.47

3) Kara Chad (CAN) & Corinna Z – 0 – 58.66
