Belgians Triumphant in the Nations Cup City of Sopot CSIO 4*

Sopot, Poland โ€“ June 13, 2025 โ€“ The highlight of Friday during the 2025 Lotto CSIO 4* of Sopot was the Nations Cup of the City of Sopot CSIO 4*, held at a height of 155 cm, under the patronage of the Polish Equestrian Federation.

Nine national teams lined up at the start, and the competition at the Sopot hippodrome provided the audience with many sporting thrills and twists of action. After two rounds, the best were the representatives of Belgium, consisting of: Jeroen Appelen, Frederic Venaet, Annelies Vorsselmans, Rik Hemeryck, under the care of the team leader Filip Lacus.

The Belgian team has a long history of success in Sopot, so this year’s victory was both a confirmation of their class and a challenge for the new team leader, who coped brilliantly with the pressure.

Second place went to Italy, and the podium was completed by the Irish team. The results of the second round completely reshuffled the classification – there was no shortage of emotions until the last run.

The Polish team consisting of Dawid Kubiak, Michaล‚ Kaลบmierczak, Marek Lewicki and Wojciech Wojcianiec finished the competition in eighth place. Although the first round did not bring the expected results, in the second all competitors improved their results, showing the fighting spirit and great potential for the future.

It is worth mentioning the large audience that reacted lively to each run – the stands were full of energy and the atmosphere was truly international.
