
Calgary, Canada โ June 12, 2025 โ World #15 ranked rider, Conor Swail (IRL) topped the leaderboard in the $14,000 Francis Family Cup CSI 5* – 1.50m on Thursday to start day two of the ‘National’, presented by Rolex at Spruce Meadows.
Aboard the 9-year-old stallion Clonterm Obolensky (who’s been in Swail’s hands since May 2025), the pair posted the fastest clear ride of the jump off with a time of 42.48 seconds. Swail also finished in sixth aboard One Edition.
Irish riders have been the most successful ones competing at Spruce Meadows so far this season, scoring several victories and even sweeping the podium a couple of times. This time, it was a one-two for them as Darragh Kenny (IRL) and Mendoza VDL were the runners-up in 43.39 seconds.
Katie Laurie (NZL) and Olyda VD Bisschop rounded out the top three with no penalties too, crossing the final timers in 49.51 seconds.
