Daniel Deusser Dashes for First of Two Victories at the Longines Global Champions Tour of Shanghai CSI 5*

Shanghai, China โ€“ May 02, 2025 โ€“ Daniel Deusser (GER) and Otello de Guldenboom were off to the races on opening day of the Longines Global Champions Tour of Shanghai CSI 5*, claiming their first of two wins at the Shanghai Juss International Equestrian Centre. Before going on to win the โ‚ฌ60,000 Lao Feng Xiang Jump-off Challenge CSI 5*ย โ€“ 1.50m on Saturday, the dynamic duo teamed up for victory in the โ‚ฌ106,000 GCL First Individual Competition CSI 5* one day before.

The 1.55m speed challenge was contested by 48 combinations but it was Deusser who dashed for the cash aboard the 11-year-old bay Belgian Warmblood stallion (Tobago Z x Caretino), clearing all the obstacles before crossing the finish line in 70.51 seconds.

Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA) & Esteban de Hus

The German was followed by Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA) and Esteban de Hus, who matched the clean scorecard, finishing second due to their time of 70.77 seconds.

Victor Bettendorf (LUX) & Cancun Torel Z

Victor Bettendorf (LUX) and Cancun Torel Z conquered bronze honors, registering no penalties in 71.22 seconds.
