Eduardo Excels Again! Menezes’ Marvelous Performance Tops the €56,950 Banorte Trophy CSI 5*

Mexico City, Mexico – March 28, 2025 – A fantastic Friday fell upon Campo Marte at the 2025 Longines Global Champions Tour of Mexico City CSI 5* & CSI 2*. Besides the action-packed Global Champions League (GCL) team competition, individual five-star competition attracted some of the best riders and horses in the world. A total of 52 horse-and-rider pairs gathered to take on the course designed by Brazilian Anderson Lima for the €56,950 Banorte Trophy CSI 5*, which was judged as a CSI 5* speed competition with a height of 1.55 m.

Eduardo Pereira de Menezes (BRA) & H5 Ozzy vd Bisschop

Winner of the €28,820 Maestro Dobel Trophy CSI 2* with Calypso des Matis the previous, Eduardo Menezes (BRA) stole the spotlight again. Leaving all the poles up while still being fast due to their time of 68.27 seconds, Menezes (BRA) and H5 Ozzy vd Bisschop, an eleven-year-old bay stallion (Diamant Semilly x Utrillo vd Heffinck) mastered the course and the competition, securing the second victory for the South American rider.

Ignacio Maurin (ARG) & Chacco-Conno PS

He was followed by Ignacio Maurin (ARG) riding Chacco-Conno PS, who completed their round in 68.72 seconds.

Katrin Eckermann (GER) & Chao Lee

Third place was claimed by German rider Katrin Eckermann (GER), who completed her round in a time of 69.28 seconds.
