Maverick van Lent & Forever du Givre Turn on the Afterburner for Top Gun Victory in the €105,675 Andalucía Grand Prix CSI 4*

Vejer de la Frontera, Spain – February 23, 2025 – The third of seven weeks of the Andalucía Sunshine Tour came to an end with the top 50 riders of the week taking part in the €105,675 Andalucía Grand Prix CSI 4* on Sunday. The class was held in the main David Broome grass arena, proving to be a very exciting. With ten going through to the jump-off, competition was fierce, and in the end the top two riders were both Belgium.

Maverick van Lent (BEL) was midway through the starting order on his ten-year-old mare, Forever du Givre, who is (Vigo D’Arsouille x Dandy du Plape). He took the lead from the rider that had the disadvantage of being the first one to go in the tiebreaker, Andres Vereecke (BEL) with Halima Van Het Bonte Hof Z (Hos D’O x Heartbreaker) and in third was the Brazilian rider, João Victor Castro (BRA) with Cashpaid J&F (Casall x Chicago Z).

Gerrit Nieberg (GER) with Ping Pong Van de Lentamel (Emerald x Toulon) came close to winning their third grand prix of the season in as many tries there, this time settling for fourth place.

The Secretary General for Promotion and Development of Tourism of the Junta de Andalucía, Gemma del Corral, and the Territorial Delegate for Tourism, Culture and Sports of the Junta de Andalucía in Cádiz, Tania Barcelona, ​​presented the trophies to  the winners.
