Hong Kong, China โ February 14, 2025 โ The inaugural Longines International Horse Show CSI 5* got underway last Friday at Asia-World Expo and it was France who got off to a flying start. Serving as the ambassadors of the French tradition in the noble sport, Roger-Yves Bost (FRA) and Embassy du Chateau were supreme in the โฌ32,000 Longines Welcome Stakes CSI 5*.
The 1.50m speed challenge was contested by 23 combinations but it was Bosty who blazed past them aboard the 11-year-old chestnut Selle Franรงais gelding (Jarnac x Bolero de Brecey HN), registering no penalties in 55.44 seconds.
Zascha Nygaard Lill (DEN) and Com’on Miss Ogano Sit tried to give the French duo a run for their money but fell short, earning reserve honors in 57.47 seconds.
A testament of great competition, the top three was claimed by three different nations. Richard Vogel (GER) and Kansall conquered bronze honors backed by a penalty-free round in 57.86 seconds.
