Helmut Schönstetter Showcases His Talent at the Andalucía Sunshine Tour CSI 3*

Vejer de La Frontera, Spain – January 23, 2025 – Germany tops the podium in the first Ranking class this week, with Helmut Schönstetter (GER) and Toulanda. Armando Trapote was second for Spain with ‘Karl P’ and Belgian, Nathan Budd was third with ‘Touard Blue Z’

Almost last to go in the first Longines Ranking class this week, was the German rider, Helmut Schönstetter (GER) with the 11-year-old mare Toulanda Degli Assi (Toulon x Nabab de Reve). They started off their week here at the  Andalucía Pre-Sunshine Tour, winning this 1.45m speed class in great style, stopping the timers in 65.84 seconds.

Armando Trapote (ESP) was knocked off of the top spot with Karl P (Carrera VDL x Burggraag NV).

The Spanish rider stopped the clock in 67.24 seconds taking second place with a cracking round and held the lead for much of the class. Also finishing in under 70 seconds was the Belgian rider, Nathan Budd (BEL), who was third with Touardo Blue Z (Toulon x Arko III) and another German rider, Jen Baackmann with Casapettit PS (Casallco x Baloubet du Rouet).

In fifth place was Venessa-Joy Nägele (LIE) with Koko (Kashmir Van Schuttershof x Horsefeed LTD) from Liechtenstein.

Final Results – €28,200 Speed Challenge CSI 3*

1) Helmut Schönstetter (GER) & Toulanda degli Assi – 0 – 65.84

2) Armando Trapote (ESP) & Karl P – 0 – 67.24

3) Nathan Budd (BEL) & Touardo Blue Z – 0 – 68.91
