La Coruña, Spain – December 07, 2024 – The A Coruña CSI 5*-W continued with a high level of competition. On Saturday afternoon, the indoor arena of Casas Novas was full of equestrian fans who were ready to enjoy the first 5 stars class of this second day, the €56,800 Marqués de Riscal Trophy CSI 5*-W.
A total of 28 combinations compete in this round and only six were able to make all the circuit without penalties. Was the pair formed by the British Rober Whitaker (GBR) and Gentlement vh Veldhof the one who achieved the best time, with 58.47 seconds. Pedro Aznar, National Sales Director for Bodegas de los Herederos del Marqués de Riscal, gaves the trophy to the experienced rider.
Second place went to Íñigo López de la Osa Franco (MON), a young 21 years old rider, borned in Monaco. Íñigo rode Nacco Blue Dnl and completed the class in 61.41 seconds.
With a time of 61.92 seconds, the Swiss rider Edouard Schmitz (SUI) got the third place on the podium, achieving his second consecutive third-place. This time, Edouard rode Gamin van’t Naastveldhof.
