Stuttgart, Germany – November 13, 2023 – Visitors to the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle for Wednesday’s opening show evening (19.00 hrs) can once again look forward to entertaining programme featuring a wide variety of highlights. The Stuttgart horse show’s continuing attraction – last year over 53,000 equestrian fans flocked to the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle – is not only “down to the time-tested mixture of top-level sport, show numbers and a side exhibition centred on everything to do with horses,” said Andreas Kroll before continuing, “Competition-wise during the five days of the horse show, we are again expecting medal winners from the Paris Olympic Games plus world and European champions.” Like every year, top stars from all over the world will be saddling up in the 18 international classes in jumping, dressage and driving – where there will be valuable World Cup points up for grabs in each of the disciplines – as well as in eventing and the Pony Trophy. Additionally, the regional elite is also integrated into the five-star event as Thursday, the “Baden-Württemberg Day”, will be the meeting place for fans from the surrounding area.

The trio of horse show directors – Kai Huttrop-Hage, Andreas Krieg and Carsten Rotermund – are working flat out on the preparations and they are once again guaranteeing attractive line-ups as “five stars, four disciplines and three World Cup classes is not something to be found everywhere,” said Huttrop-Hage with a twinkle in his eyes. Moreover, the programme of show numbers promises entertaining times, fun and a great atmosphere. “Further famous riders are certain to sign up for the horse show before the official entry deadline on 31 October,” added Andreas Krieg, the horse show director responsible for jumping.

Carsten Rotermund can already confirm that Ingrid Klimke (Germany) will be taking part. The two-time eventing Team Olympic champion (2008 in Beijing, 2021 in Tokyo) and Team world Champion (2006 Aachen, 2014 Normandy) won the Indoor Derby in Stuttgart in 2012 and 2018. The so-called “Reitmeisterin” – the second woman to be officially acknowledged as Master Rider in 2012, is sure to be a big rival for Michael Jung (GER).

Advance ticket sales have been possible since May, tickets for the nine sessions of the 38^th International Stuttgart German Masters Horse Show cost between nine and 65 euro, all-day tickets between 35 and 86 euro. Tickets for the whole event are priced at 189, 236 and 258 euro. Tickets can be purchased at Easy Ticket Service (Tel: +49 711 25555-55), all recognised advance ticket offices as well as online at www.easyticket.de. There is also a variety of discounts for single tickets as well as special offers for groups. Children up to the age of six will be admitted free of charge. All prices include booking fees plus a 4.90 euro delivery cost.

All tickets are so-called “combi tickets” entitling holders to use buses and trains belonging to the regional VVS public transportation.
