
Lyon, France – November 01, 2024 – Local riders took centre stage in the first two classes of the CSI 5*-W competition. Julien Gonin (FRA) and Estrella de La Batia won the €28,764 Groupama Prize CSI 5*-W, a speed class against the clock at 1.50m at the 2024 Longines Equita Lyon CSI 5*-W & CSI 2*.

In the end, it was Gonin and the 10-year-old bay Selle Français mare (Diamant de Semilly x Lando) who galloped towards victory in flawless fashion, doing so in 56.60 seconds.

The next two-highest positions in the final standings were from two other nations as Romain Duguet (SUI) and Bel Canto de Boguin finished second in 57.38 seconds.

Pieter Devos (BEL) and Jarina J registered no penalties in 59.55 seconds for bronze honors honors.
