
Saint-Lô, France – October 27, 2024 –Pénélope Leprévost (FRA) gave the home crowd something to cheer about on Sunday at the Jumping International de Saint-Lô CSI 4* & CSI 2*. Serving as the appetizer to a super Sunday of showjumping, the outstanding French rider guided Fidji du Phare to victory in the €28,200 Grand Prix Région de Normandie CSI 2*.
Going up against 14 other combinations in the tiebreaker of the 1.45m contest, Leprevost flew to first in flawless fashion aboard the 2015 Selle Français mare (Sunshine du Phare x Scoop du Phare), doing so in 35.25 seconds.
Leprevost had Lorenzo de Luca‘s (ITA) number on Sunday. The Italian finished second with Noblesse VD Mespel Z, only three-tenths of a second behind. He would go on to finish third in the €105,500 Grand Prix of the Department of La Manche CSI 4*, once again one spot behind Leprevost.
The French crowd were even happier since Mélanie Cloarec (FRA) and Fais Toi Belle du Seigneur Pleville completed the top three with no penalties too, crossing the final timers in 35.72 seconds.
