Barcelona, Spain – October 05, 2024 – The CSIO Barcelona concluded its third day with Martin Fuchs’ (SUI) victory with Commissar Pezi in the €56,800 Queen’s Cup CSIO 5* – Freixenet Trophy – Generalitat de Catalunya Award, the day’s top event featuring a star-studded lineup, including three Olympic medalists and the world’s number one rider. In a winning round class set at 1.50m, the Swiss rider demonstrated his superiority with a faultless performance in both rounds, setting a spectacular time in the final round.

Finishing behind him was France’s Kevin Staut (FRA) on Dialou Blue PS, half a second slower than Fuchs in the jump-off.

Brazil’s Marlon Módolo Zanotelli (BRA) secured third place with Zy-Zento, registering no penalties and the time of 43.73 seconds in the tiebreaker.
Martin Fuchs, a key member of the Swiss team that will be vying for the Nations League title tomorrow, expressed his delight with the victory: “It feels amazing to win such a historic class as the Queen’s Cup. This is my first individual win in Barcelona, and I’ve really enjoyed it,” he remarked.
The course, designed by Santi Varela and his team, once again thrilled the spectators. On a fantastic evening, the stands at the Real Club de Polo were packed to witness one of the world’s premier equestrian events, coinciding with the gala dinner in the club’s tribune.
