
Wiesbaden, Germany – May 19, 2024 – Michael Pender (IRL) and HHS Calais stole the spotlight on Sunday at the 2024 edition of the Longines PfingstTurnier – Wiesbaden CSI 4*, claiming victory in the feature class of the day, the €56,800 Minister President of Hessen Prize CSI 4*
Thirty-two combinations took part in the first round of the 1.55m challenge but it was the Irishman and the 13-year-old bay Irish Sport Horse gelding (Cavalier Royale x Obos Quality) who delivered the winning performance in flawless fashion, being timed in 42.83 seconds during the tiebreaker.
Koen Vereecke (BEL) and Oilily de Muze ( Vigo D Arsouilles Stx x Ramiro Z) were the closest ones, the only other duo to match the clean scorecard of the eventual winners, crossing the finish line in 46.98 seconds.
David Will (GER) and Kansall (Kannan x Casall) had rail down in the jump-off but still managed to conquer bronze honors due to their final time of 42.98
