World Equestrian Center – Ocala Welcomes Jumping’s Best for the Longines League of Nations CSIO 5*!

Ocala, Florida, USA – March 20, 2024 – World Equestrian Center – Ocala (WEC) welcomes athletes, media and fans from around the world as CSIO5* competition begins on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, in the final week of the Winter Spectacular Show Series, which features the Longines League of Nations™ Team Competition on Saturday, March 23. As one of the most anticipated competitions on the equestrian calendar and the second stop on the global tour for the inaugural Longines League of Nations™, it’s a can’t-miss event.

Eight of the top 10-ranked Jumping athletes in the world will be at WEC – Ocala this week to compete for winning honors with Longines League of Nations™ teams lined up from the United States, Belgium, Brazil, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Netherlands, Sweden and Switzerland. Along with the 40 riders that will compete in the Longines League of Nations™, an additional 21 athletes representing Australia, Canada, Colombia, Israel, New Zealand and the United States will forge their five-star path around the WEC Grand Arena throughout the week. The U.S. team will be represented by Kent Farrington (USA), Laura Kraut (USA), Aaron Vale (USA) and McLain Ward (USA), and they will be joined by many other international Olympians from around the world all seeking victory in this top-rated international show.

The Longines League of Nations Trophy on display at World Equestrian Center – Ocala

Event Schedule: On Thursday, March 21, a field of the world’s best Jumping athletes vies for $330,000 in prize money in the Lugano Diamonds Grand Prix CSIO 5*, held under the lights of the WEC Grand Arena. Secure your spot with reserved seats while they last.

The week reaches a pinnacle on Saturday with the $770,000 Longines League of Nations™ CSIO 5* team competition, where the world’s top 10 teams compete in a two-round format. 

Andre Thieme (GER) & DSP Chakaria will represent Germany, the winning nation of the first leg of the Longines League of Nations CSIO 5* in Abu Dhabi, The United Arab Emirates.

2:00 p.m. – Seating Open

4:00 p.m. – Parade of Nations

4:30 p.m. – First Round, Top 10 Teams

7:30 p.m. – Second Round, Top 8 Teams

General Admission tickets will remain available for purchase online via weclonginesleagueofnations.com. Walk-up, standing-room-only General Admission tickets will also be available to purchase day-of, while capacity allows. Seating is not included in General Admission tickets. Reserved seating is sold out for Saturday, March 23. Limited seating is still available for purchase for the Lugano Diamonds Grand Prix CSIO5* on Thursday, March 21.

WEC – Ocala hosts the only North American qualifier for the Longines League of Nations™.

Activity Highlight: Don’t miss the free-to-attend All for the Horses Expo presented by Ariat and held in Exposition Center 2 on March 22-24. Explore all-equine vendors with tack, feed, tractors, trailers and apparel, plus afternoon entertainment and a kids’ corral. The All for the Horses Expo presented by Ariat will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, March 22-23, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 24. Reentry to the Grand Plaza will be allowed for ticketed attendees.
