Thermal, California, USA – February 17, 2024 – Amanda Derbyshire (GBR) stole the spotlight throughout the first week of the TerraNova Winter Series at the TerraNova Equestrian Center. After securing first place in the $32,000 Estates at TerraNova Welcome Speed CSI 2* with the same mount one day earlier, once again she teamed up with Otto BH for victory in the $65,000 Galati Yacht Sales Grand Prix.

Derbyshire and her very own 12-year-old Zangersheide stallion (Norton d’Eole x Fragance de Chalus) claimed top honors in the 1.45m challenge, going up against 10 other riders in the tiebreaker. The dynamic duo dashed across the finish line in flawless fashion while being timed in 37.740 seconds to earn top honors.

Alberto Michan (ISR) and Joint de Canabis van de Doornhoeve did try to give the eventual winners a run for their money but eventually had to settle for second place due to their final time of 38.10 seconds.

Derbyshire‘s feat was enhanced by the fact that she managed to bookend the podium too, rounding out the top three aboard Destine to Be in 38.180 seconds.
