Leipzig, Germany – January 19, 2024 – Daniel Deusser (GER) dared to go faster and faster before his countrymen and the gamble paid off as the outstanding German rider teamed up with Loui LN for victory in the €30,450 Idee Kafee Prix CSI 5*-W on Friday during the first day of FEI-level showjumping at Partner Pferd – Leipzig CSI 5*-W.

Going up against 57 other combinations in the 1.45m speed challenge, Deusser and the 10-year-old Swedish Warmblood stallion (Kannan x Cartani) were supreme after completing the course flawlessly and in 52.81 seconds.

To the delight of the home crowd, two Germans claimed the top two positions on the podium. Hans-Dieter Dreher (GER) and Cous Cous 3 conquered silver honors in 53.02 seconds while Martin Fuchs (SUI) and Viper Z rounded out the top three in 53.31 seconds.
