
Abu Dhabi, The United Arab Emirates – January 13, 2024 – Course designer Elio Travagliati (ITA) designed a challenging course for the riders in the €28,200 Abu Dhabi Sports Council Gold Tour Grand Prix CSI 2*. 41 riders started, but only six riders jumped clear and went through to the jump-off. Out of those, it was Belgian rider Abdel Saïd (BEL) riding Figueras de Laume who recorded the fastest time to clinch first place, jumping clear in 36.81 seconds.

Michael Pender (IRL) claimed second place for Ireland on HHS Los Angeles in a time of 37.01 seconds. The 10-year-old Irish Sports Horse was bred by former Olympic team rider Marion Hughes and has been on great form with Michael.

Sophie Hinners (GER) completed the top three for Germany on Special Life in 38.98 seconds.
The 2024 Al Shira’aa International Horse Show CSI 4*-W & CSI 2* concludes this Sunday with the CSIYH1* finals in the morning, followed by the €155,000 Al Shira’aa Longines Grand Prix CSI 4*-W.
