Rouen, France – November 23, 2023 – Pénélope Leprévost (FRA) got off to the perfect start at the 2023 Equi’Seine CSI 4* & CSI 2*, claiming the feature class there on Thursday, the €30,900 Carno Avocats Prize CSI 4*, leading an all-French podium.

A total of seventy combinations entered the ring in the 1.50m challenge but it Pénélope who powered past them aboard Texas, the 2011 bay Swedish Warmblood gelding (Tornesch 1042 x Robin Z), doing so in flawless fashion and in 62.53 seconds.

Julien Gonin (FRA) and Estrella de La Batia continued to show their top form, finishing just over three-tenths off the winning mark (62.85 seconds), more than good enough for silver honors.

Cedric Hurel (FRA) also left all the poles up for no penalties, rounding out the top three on Fantasio Floreval Z and in 63.50 seconds, thus completing the all-French trifecta.
