Oliva Nova, Spain – November 11, 2023 – Under pleasant weather and blue skies, the sun was shining bright on Saturday as Nicole Lockhead Anderson (GBR) came away with the win in the €26,600 CHG – Construcciones Hispano Germanas Trophy CSI 3*, the feature class on Saturday at the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour CSI 3*.
Going up against 16 other combinations, out of the original 63 entries, Anderson pulled out all the aces up her sleeve aboard I Am Harley, the 2013 chestnut Royal Dutch Sport Horse stallion (Harley x Otangelo), clearing all the fences towards first place in 46.32 seconds.
Spanish fans were not disappointed as Mariano Martinez Bastida (ESP) and Messento mastered the jump-off course too, claiming silver honors just over three-tenths (46.65s) of a second behind.
The podium was completed by Rolex Major winner Gerrit Nieberg (GER), who guided D-Coroquada I in flawless fashion too, completing their second run in 47.74 seconds.
