Richard Vogel & Cepano Baloubet Off to the Races Winning in Mexico!

San Miguel de Allende, Mexico – October 19, 2023 – Richard Vogel (MEX) and Cepano Baloubet were off to the races on Thursday during the opening day of the Otomí Grand Prix CSI 5* & CSI 2*, a part of the Mexico Fall Tour Series, held at the Otomí Club Hípico. The dynamic duo claimed top honors in the MXN $1,462,500 Visa Grand Prix Qualifier CSI 5*.

The sixtenteenth ranked rider in the world and Veronica Tracy‘s 9-year-old German Sport Horse gelding (Chaman x Stakkato’s Highlight) were the fastest of the eleven combinations that took part in the jump-off, clearing all the 1.50m obstacles for the second time and conquering the win in 37.51 seconds.

Emanuele Camilli (ITA) and Odense Odeveld almost matched the winning duo stride for stride, finishing only two tenths of a second behind.

To the delight of the home crowd, Manuel Gonzalez Dufrane (MEX) was reponsible for putting the Mexican flag on the podium after guiding Martialis in flawless fashion too, doing so in 37.97 seconds in the tiebreaker.
