Grimaud, France – October 15, 2023 – The 2023 Hubside Jumping Fall Tour came to an end on Sunday and it was Pius Schwizer (SUI) who reigned supreme in the €60,000 Hubside Store Grand Prix CSI 3*. Despite competing in the first week in FEI- classes together, the Swiss guided Dubai du Bois Pinchet impecably to steal the spotlight on French soil!
Only eight of the original forty-three combinations that participated in the first round of the 1.50m contest managed to advance to the tiebreaker and despite having the odds stacked up against them, going up against five combinations from the host nation that were cheered on by spectators, the Swiss rider and the 2009 bay Belgian Sport Horse mare (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Andiamo) came out on top, doing so in 38.24 seconds.
However, to the delight of most attendees, the next two spots on the podium were claimed by Les Blues, in fact by two ladies. Lalie Saclier (FRA) and J’Adore (Carambole x Chin Chin) was a pleasant surprise among the heavyweights, securing reserve honors in 39.10 seconds.
Mégane Moissonnier (FRA) and Cordial (Casall x Chicago) conquered bronze honors after two penalty-performances too, crossing the jump-off timers just four-hundredths of a second slower than the latter two.
