
Riesenbeck, Germany – September 30, 2023 – Mario Stevens (GER) and Carrie 22 mastered the course and the competition on their way to victory in the €27,250 Grand Prix of Riesenbeck CSI 2* last Sunday at the Riesenbeck International CSI 2*. Going up against 51 other combinations in the first round and 8 other ones in the tiebreaker, the German and the 9-year-old chestnut Oldenburg mare (Christian x Couleur-Rubin) were supreme, completing their second penalty-free performance in 33.78 seconds for the victory.
It was an all-German podium as Hannes Ahlmann (GER) rode Tokyo (Toulon x Cassini I) for silver honors just six-hundredths of a second behind the eventual winners while Tobias Meyer (GER) and Caipidor (Capistrano x Polydor) completed the top three in 34.38 seconds.
