Brussels, Belgium – August 27, 2023 – Earlier on Sunday, the program for the 3* riders was concluded at the 2023 Brussels Stephex Masters CSI 5*, CSI 3* & CSI 2*. The €52,000 Lieven Hendrickx Grand Prix CSI 3*, presented by Lieven Hendrickx (1.50m), was ultimately seized by the same rider who consistently delivered exceptional CSI3* performances throughout the Brussels Stephex Masters: Richard Vogel (Germany).
Richard (GER) shares, “Cepano Baloubet (Chaman x Stakkato’s Highlight) jumped fantastically. He’s only 9 years old. He participated in two 1.40m classes to acclimate to the arena and the grass here. Now, he was in splendid form. I also brought along 2 other horses, all of which jumped amazingly. Riding at such a venue is a rider’s dream. The footing is extraordinary. Next week, I’m heading to the German
championships for young horses. I have quite a few contenders to compete there. I find immense satisfaction in combining the big classes with developing young horses. Progressing with them is highly fulfilling. With a horse like Cepano, already successful at such a level, there’s limited room for further improvement. Getting to know my young horses and seeing them improve is what adds an extra layer of specialness to this sport for me. Moreover, if I can continue to guide them towards the higher ranks of the sport, that’s simply fantastic.”
Final Results – €52,000 Lieven Hendrickx Grand Prix CSI 3* – 1.50m over two rounds
