Steve Guerdat & Is-Minka are the Masters of the Grand Prix CSI 3* at Saint-Lô

Pinneberg, Germany – August 06, 2023 – After winning the €26,200 Saint-Lô Agglo Prize CSI 3* with Easy Star de Talma the previous, Steve Guerdat (SUI) stole the spotlight once again at the Normandie Horse Show CSI 3* & CSI 2* on, teaming up with Is-Minka for the win in the €60,000 Grand Prix Département de La Manche CSI 3*.

Moreover, the all-time great had already finished thrid in the €26,200 Prix Cheval Liberté CSI 3* two days earlier with the 2013 bay Dutch Warmblood mare (Mylord Carthago*HN x Flyinge Quite Easy 958), capping off a stellar week at the event by claiming the feature class there.

In the end, it was Guerdat who galloped towards victory against three other combinations in the tiebreker, out of the original 50 entries in the first round, doing so by being the only pair to register a double clear while being timed in 46.55 seconds.

Victor Bettendorf (LUX) and Big Star des Forets (Untouchable x Voltaire Pref) were faster, but their time of 46.21 seconds came at the expense of one rail down, meaning that they would have to settle for second place.

Mathieu Billot (FRA) and Quel Filou 13 (Quidams’s Rubin x Cascavelle) also had a pole down, resulting in four penalty-points, still managing to secure bronze honors in 50.21 seconds.
