Kendra Claricia Brinkop Pops the Champagne at Chantilly

Chantilly, France – July 14, 2023 – Kendra Claricia Brinkop (GER) and Ma Belle were the stars of the day last Friday during the inaugural edition of the Chantilly Classic CSI 4*, stealing the spotlight by winning the €26,200 Petite Finale Defender CSI 4*.

Seventy-three combinations challenged the first round course featuring obstacles set at the height of 1.45 meters. After the first round, 16 pairs had advanced to the tiebreaker but it was the German and the 2012 grey Belgian Warmblood mare (Ugano Sitte x Bayard Elle) who prevailed doing so backed by their second fault-free performance in 44.26 seconds.

The German’s speed proved to be too much for the other 5 finalists who recorded a clean scorecard. Martin Dinesen Neergaard (DEN) and Carpe Diem Van De Geeneinde Z (Connor 48 x San Patrignano Cassini) were the closest ones, finishing second in 47.03 seconds.

After two wins the previous two days by Pedro Veniss, Brazil was represented on the podium again. This time by Pedro Junqueira Muylaert (BRA), who rode Townhead Liberty V (Bockmann’s Lord Pezi x Stolzenberg) towards bronze honors in 48.07 seconds.
