Bourg-en-Bresse, France – May 20, 2023 – Fanny Guerdat Skalli (FRA) and Hubba Bubba 2 flew the highest in the €27,000 Grand Prix Laiterie de Montaigu CSI 4* last Saturday on the penultimate day of the Jumping International de Bourg-en-Bresse CSI 4* & CSI 2*.
Forty-nine out of the supposed 50 combinations entered the ring for the jump-off challenge but only eight of them cleared the 1.45m obstacles and completed Grégory Cottard‘s (FRA) course within the time allowed to advance to the decisive round. Skalli and the 2012 bay Oldenburg mare (Van Helsing x Abke 4) scored the win backed by a fault-free blazing performance in 32.88 seconds.
Their speed proved to be too much. In fact, the closest ones to match their clean round were Marion Trosset (FRA) and Illi Nobili (Deaville van’T L x Vancouver d’Auvray) doing so in 35.55 seconds for the second spot on the podium.
Alexandra Amar (SUI) and VincyI du Gue (Adelfos x Quaprice Bois Margot) posted the third clean jump-off effort of the contest, conquering bronze honors in 38.10 seconds.
