
Madrid, Spain – May 13, 2023 – Derin Demirsoy (TUR) and Elzas have secured top podium position in the Grupo Eulen Speed Challenge CSI 5* on day 2 of the Longines Global Champions Tour of Madrid CSI 5* at the Club de Campo Villa de Madrid in the Spanish capital.

Going up against 23 other combinations, Demirsoy dashed towards victory in the 1.45m two-phase contest, guiding the 14-year-old bay Royal Dutch Sport Horse / Dutch Warmblood (Diamant de Semilly x Cornet Obolensky) in flawless fashion before tripping the final timers in 24.44 seconds.
In a fight for top podium position, Olivier Philippaerts and Mr. Idol S (Plot Blue x Darco) finished just 0.5 seconds behind the leading duo, securing the second spot on the podium.
Bronze honors was claimed by Eoin McMahon (IRL) and Christa 27 (Christon x Clinton), who ultimately finished just over a second behind the leaders.
