Grimaud, France – May 05, 2023 – Lorenzo de Luca (ITA) and Dirka de Blondel dashed for the cash in the €26,200 Hubside Special Two-Phase CSI 2* on Friday during the second week of the Spring Tour at the Hubside Jumping de Grimaud – Saint Tropez CSI 3* & CSI 2*.
Riding the Poden Farms` 2012 bay Selle Français mare (Very Berlin de Castel x Lauterbach), the Italian was supreme in the 1.45m constest, being clean all the way to the finish line and stopping the final timers in 35.57 seconds.
Once again, the host nation was denied a victory but claimed second place. Jean Luc Mourier (FRA) and Latina G (Der Senaat 111 x Calino) were over two second slower than the eventual winners but still managed to secure silver honors in 37.92 seconds.
Wilm Vermeir (BEL) and Chacco Me Biolley (Chacco-Blue x Argentinus) completed the podium, clearing all the obstacles in the two phases before crossing the final timers in 38.38 seconds.
