Victor Bettendorf & Big Star des Forets Shine the Brightest in the €26,380 Grand Prix Resort Barrière Deauville CSI 2*

Deauville, France – April 30, 2023 – Victor Bettendorf (LUX) has skyrocketed all the way up to the 27th spot in the Longines Rider World Ranking and the Luxembourgeoise rider continues to amaze. Teaming up with Big Star des Forêts, Bettendorf was the best in the €26,380 Grand Prix Resort Barrière Deauville CSI 2* last Sunday during the 2023 edition of the Jump’in Deauville CSI 2* at the Pôle international du Cheval Longines – Deauville.

Among 51 entries in the first round and six finalists out of the seven who had qualified for the tiebreaker, Bettendorf shone the brightest aboard the 12-year-old Selle Français mare (Untouchable M x Voltaire Pref), completing their impecable jump-off performance in 37.35 seconds.

The host nation was denied the vitory but Reynald Angot (FRA) and Call Me Express HDC (Orient Express x Kannan*GFE) did earn reserve honors, backed by two penalty-free efforts, the decisive one in 40.06 seconds.

The third spot on the podium was claimed by a former winner of the Grand Prix of La Baule CSI 5*. Based in Europe the past few years, Pedro Junqueira Muylaert (BRA) guided Canter della Caccia (Castigo Della Caccia x Zandor Z) – towards a clean scorecard too, securing bronze honors in 41.31 seconds.
