Gorla Minore, Italy – April 2, 2023 – Once a champion, always a champion! Steve Guerdat (SUI) was back on top on Sunday, on the final day of the fifth week of the Gorla Spring Tour at the Equieffe Equestrian Centre. With the passing away of Bianca and the retirement of a few five-star grand prix horses over the past seasons, Guerdat has slipped in the world rider ranking but the Swiss continues to thrive with the horses he has under his string. The Swiss and the 10-year-old bay Selle Français stallion (Kannan x Cook du Midour) blazed throught the 1.50m course, posting the winning round in 38.99 seconds.

Douglas Lindelow (SWE) and Charlie’s Way (Chacco-Blue x Robin Z) were the closest ones, matching the two clean rounds of the eventual winners while falling short of the win due to their jump-off time of 40.04 seconds.

Three different claimed the top three positions on the podium. Philippe Leoni (FRA) and Miss Marie van’t Vennenhof (Edjaz van’T Merelsnest x Toulon) also had a clean scorecard after their two rounds, securing bronze honors in 41.04 seconds.
