Vejer de La Frontera, Spain โ March 11, 2023 โ It was an extremely busy day here at the Andalucรญa Sunshine Tour CSI 4*. The other very competitive class today was the โฌ27,200 Big Tour Small Grand Prix CSI 4* in the grass Hickstead arena. The quality of the field was amazing in this class and 28 riders got into the jump off. The course had one tight rollback and another 270 degree turn, which in the end were the deciding factors in the placing. The brilliant German rider, David Will (GER), who has just arrived here at the tour turned on a sixpence into both of these fences and was the second and only other rider, to stop the timers in under 40 seconds. David was riding the amazing 10-year-old gelding, Zaccorado Blue (VDL Zirocco Blue x Acorado) and they finished in 39.27 seconds for the win.
Up to that point the Brazilian rider, Carlos Eduardo Motas Ribas (BRA) had been in the lead in 39.90 seconds with Trix (Asterix E Z x Skippy II) and he ended up taking second place.
Bronze honors was claimed by Charlotte Bettendorf (LUX) with her super mare, Babacool (Tlaloc M x Urbain du Monnai), completing their second fault-free performance in 40.32 seconds.
