Vejer de La Frontera – February 17, 2023 – The Brazilian anthem rang out across the rings here at Montenmedio today as the winner of the John Deere Longines Ranking class, Pedro Veniss with the very talented, Boeckmanns Lord Pezi Junior (BRA) received his trophy. Pedro was second last to go in this speed class, which had proved to be challenging for many of the 89 riders, who finished with a range of poles down and time faults. No such problem for Pedro as he rode a fast and confident clear on the lovely 14-year-old Oldenburg stallion (Böckmann’s Lord Pezi xQuattro 7).
Stopping the timers in 64.53 seconds he easily took the lead from the Spanish rider, Sergio Álvarez Moya (ESP) who had been in the top spot for a while on 66.41 seconds, with the 9-year-old old, Charisma HS by Uriko.

Sergio ended up taking second place, despite a serious challenge earlier on, from Swiss rider, Steve Guerdat (SUI) with Dynamix de Belheme (Snaike de Blondel x Cornet Obolensky) who finished in 66.89 seconds.
In fourth was Dutch, Kevin Jochems (NED) with Flying Jackie (Nabab de Reve x Voltaire)and in fifth was British, James Davenport (GBR) with One Way (Argento x Malito de Reve). Prizes were handed out to the winners by Diego López, Turf Regional Manager, for John Deere, who are agricultural machinery specialists and kindly sponsored the class.
