Oliva Nova, Valencia, Spain – February 10, 2023 – Belgium back on top! Jérôme Guéry (BEL) and Juristo van het Hagenhof jumped to first place on Saturday at the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour CSI 2*. The Belgian bested 5 other combinations who had advanced to the jump-off out of the original 42 who took part in the €26,200 Oliva Nova Beach & Golf Resort Trophy CSI 2*.

Guery was the only finalist to guide his partner, a 2009 grey Belgian Warmblood gelding (Elvis Ter Putte x Indoctro), in flawless fashion across the finish line, completing their second performance in 39.80 seconds.
Victor Mariano Luminatti (BRA) and Idette (Eldorado van de Zeshoek x Namelus R) were faster (39.05 seconds) than the eventual winners but saw victory slip away due to one rail down and four penalty-points.
Jeanne Sadran (FRA) and Virtuose Champeix (Rubins des Bruyeres x Avec Espoir) also suffered the same fate of having one pole down, rounding out the top three with the same score as the previous duo, securing the third position on the podium in 40.14 seconds.
