
Leipzig, Germany – January 20, 2022 – They did it again! Despite his young age, Philipp Schulze Topphoff (GER) continues to shine at the top of the sport. On Friday, the German teamed up with the 10-year-old chestnut Westphalian mare Carla (Comme Il Faut 5 x Potsdam NRW) to defend their title in the €30,600 Idee Kaffee Prize CSI 5*-W during the 2023 edition of Partner Pferd CSI 5*-W. The duo sped towards victory across the finish line in 52.22 seconds after leaving all the poles up for no penalties in the 1.45m speed challenge.
Gregory Cottard (FRA) and Cocaine du Val (Mylord Carthago x Si Tu Viens) were the closest ones, managing to secure second place as a results of their time of 52.03 seconds. Jana Wargers (GER) and mare Dorette (Dollar du Murier x Fighting Alpha ) dashed for the third spot on the podium, doing so in 54.65 seconds.
