A member of the most traditional family of the noble sport, Joe was swift to complete the course aboard the 2013 bay Dutch Warmblood mare (Durango VDL x Otangelo), securing the win in flawless fashion and 62.17 seconds.
Besides the win, the British feat was enhanced by Georgia Tame‘s (GBR) second-place finish with Curiano Van Maazle Z (Canabis Z x Germus R), doing so by matching the clean performance of the eventual winners and completing their performance in 62.41 seconds.
After two major wins the previous days and despite having a high numerical advantage in terms of participants the host nation failed to put any of its representatives on the podium. Thibeau Spits (BEL) and Juragold Bormes (Contact van de Heffinck x Landino)
