Monterrey, Mexico – November 13, 2022 – After helping Team Helios win the seventh leg of the Major League Show Jumping (MLSJ) Team Competition two weeks before at Otomí Club Hípico, Eugenio Garza Perez and Victer Finn DH Z were back in the winner’s circle again, this time at Club Hípico La Silla. The dynamic duo shone the brightest in the MXN $740,000 Winning Round CSI 5* on the final day at the renowned Mexican equestrian and breeding venue.
Saving the best for the very last round, Garza and his longtime 14-year-old bay Zangersheide gelding (Va Vite x Stakkato) led the victory gallop on home soil, securing the win after a blazing penalty-free performance in 40.14 seconds in the decisive round.
After winning the MXN $599,400 Afflux CSI 5*, Alberto Michan (ISR) and Bugatti (Heartbreaker x Pilot) came close to scoring their second major win of the week, falling short due to their final time of 41.46 seconds.
Winners of the feature class the previous week at the same venue, the $8,106,000 GNP Seguros MLSJ Grand Prix of Monterrey CSI 5*, Lillie Keenan (USA) and Argan de Beliard (Mylord Carthago*HN x Ahorn) completed the podium in flawless fashion, tripping the timers in 41.76 seconds.
