Kronenberg, The Netherlands – November 12, 2022 – Despite being a top-ten ranked rider in the world who competes most of the time at five-star level classes, every now and then Marlon Módolo Zanotelli (BRA) decides to participate in two-star level horse shows to prepare horses for higher flights. In fact, the Brazilian used to be one of the winningest athletes at this level at the beginning of his career, much of the time riding for Enda Carrol’s Ashford Farm.

On Saturday, it was déjà vu for the Brazilian, who guided Heureuse Nouvelle WH, 2013 bay Belgian Sport Horse mare (Cardento 933 x Indoctro) to victory in the €25,950 Holger Hetzel Sport Horse Sales Grand Prix CSI 2* after fierce competititon from 9 other combinations who took part in the thrilling 1.45m jump-off challenge at the Peelbergen Equestrian Centre.

The speed of the eventual winners proved to be too much for the rest of the field. However, Gert Jan Bruggink (NED) and Vigalio Sho Z (Vigo D’Arsouilles Stx x Come on) put on a valiant effort despite being over two seconds slower, earning silver honors in 37.34 seconds.

A familiar face to the winner’s circle, Christian Ahlmann (GER) rode Clintrexo Z towards the third spot on the podium. The dynamic duo were double clear, crossing the finish line in 37.63 to secure bronze honors.
