Arturo Parada & Quidamo are Lightning Quick to Win the $555,000 Pasión por el Deporte Grand Prix CSI 2*

San Miguel de Allende, Mexico – October 23, 2022 – Mexico’s own Arturo Parada Vallejo (MEX) capped an incredible week at Club Hípico Otomí in San Miguel de Allende with a victory in the $555,000 Pasión por el Deporte Grand Prix CSI 2*. From a 10-horse jump-off, Parada and Quidamo 10, an 11-year-old Holsteiner gelding (Quidam de Revel x Lasino), claimed the win by nearly two full seconds.

A recent acquisition of the Desert International Horse Park Roadrunners, Parada is looking forward to Major League Show Jumping stops in Monterrey and California after debuting with a splash in San Miguel.

Bruno Passaro (ARG) piloted Abril Hope Girl to second place, doing so in 45.72 seconds.

Brazil’s Rodrigo Lambre (BRA) rounded out the top three aboard Chalawino PS (Chacco-Blue x Lawito), matching the double clear while completing the jump-off course in 46.11 seconds. All three athletes were joined on the podium with their children as everyone celebrated the perfect conclusion to a spectacular week of MLSJ action.

“I am very happy with the result today – I loved this class. I was second yesterday, and going into today I was focused on the first round and then the tiebreaker if it came to it. I’m very grateful to the Roadrunners team for taking me on. I will be at both Monterrey and California, and I’m hopeful that we can win one of those stages.”
