Jose Fúmero Hernandez & Cadum de Champloue Claim the Champagne in €26,300 Royal Bliss Trophy CSI 3*

Vejer de La Frontera, Spain – October 22, 2022 – Spanish victory led by José Fumero Hernández (ESP) in the first qualifying test for the Longines of this third week of competition of the II Andalucía October Tour, an event sponsored by the Regional Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports Andalusia, co-financed with European funds.

The Spanish rider had a fantastic ride with Cadum de Champloue, a ten-year-old Selle Frnaçais mare (Diamant de Semilly x Laudanum), owned by Raso de los Morales. Together they completed the second phase of the 1.45m challenge in 31.67 seconds, a time that was unbeatable for the rest of the 80 participating pairs. Of them, just half managed to overcome the first phase without penalty and dispute the second. Amongst them, the best 30 have obtained one of the coveted places to compete in the Grand Prix that will be held on Sunday, a qualifying test for the 2023 Europeans.

The American Mckayla Langmeier (USA) and Chadina (Conthargos x Narew) were the closest to Fumero stopping the clock in 33.50 seconds, while the Swiss Alain Jufer (SUI) Cornet MM (Cornet Obolensky x Gralshueter) was third. The British Jodie Hall Mcateer with ‘Catoki’ was fourth and the Swedish Erica Swartz with ‘Madonna’ completed the Top-5 of this interesting event sponsored by Royal Bliss. All of them received their trophies from Antonio Villanueva, head of Communication, Public Affairs and Sustainability at Coca Cola Europacific Partners.
