Oliva Nova, Spain – Constant Van Paesschen (BEL) was back to his winning ways at the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour’s Autumn Series on Friday, guiding Diaz du Thot to first place in the €26,000 Dammann Reitplatz- u. Sportplatzbau GmbH Trophy CSI 3*.

Van Paesschen and the 2013 bay Selle Français mare (Ready Boy des Forets ‘Hn’ x Diams du Grasset) were supreme against 49 other combinations in the 1.45m speed challenge, completing their penalty-free performance in 59.51 seconds to leave the rest of the field in the dust.

Wout-Jan Van der Schans (NED) and A S Bombay (Diamant de Semilly x Contender) were over a second slower, but still managing to secure second place in 60.83 seconds.

Three different nations were represented on the podium as Michael Hughes (USA) and Calisto Blue (Chacco-Blue x Con Air) were consistent again, earning another podium finish with the third-fastest clean round of the contest, timed in 61.92 seconds at the finish line.
