CSI 5*

Another “Victorious Note” by Emanuele Gaudiano & Nikolaj de Music Winning the €55,000 Hubside Store CSI 5*

Grimaud, France – September 22, 2022 – We can say that this first day was his day. On this opening day of a new week of competition at the Hubside Jumping Grimaud-Golfe de Saint-Tropez, the Italian Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA) was on all fronts! Winner of the most important CSI 2* class with Chaccart PS, a horse he has been getting to know for a few weeks, the rider also claimed the second place in the first CSI 5* class, behind the Israeli Robin Muhr (ISR) and most importantly, won the feature class of the day, €55,000 Hubside Store Jump-off Challenge CSI 5* with Nikolaj de Music.

Together, the Italian and the 2013 bay Belgian Warmblood stallion (Kannan x Nabab de Reve) were supreme in the 1.50m speed challenge, securing the win in flawless fashion while crossing the finish line in 63.77 seconds.

They were ahead of Lorraine’s Simon Delestre (FRA) on Dexter Fontenis Z (Diarado x Voltaire), who had held the lead in the provisional classification for a good part of the event, finishing second in 64.25 seconds.

The winningest rider at the venue the past few months, Victor Bettendorf (LUX) was back on the podium, this time conquering bronze honors associated with Astuce de La Roque (Kannan x Quick Star), doing so in 64.58 seconds.

Winner’s Circle – Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA)

“The least we can say is that the day was good (smile)! Two wins and a second place: I can only be delighted with my horses! Nikolaj de Music is in great shape at the moment: two weeks ago, he already won the Hubside Jumping 3* Grand Prix here in Grimaud. We will see if this form continues in the coming days. For the 5* Grand Prix on Sunday, I have the fortunate to currently be able to count on three horses capable of performing at such a level: I will choose over the next few days which one is in the best shape.”
