Amy Millar Aces the Course to Win the Opening CSI 5* Class at the American Gold Cup

Traverse City, Michigan, USA – September 15, 2022 – Amy Millar (CAN) won the opening CSI5* event at Major League Show Jumping Toronto just a few weeks ago before jumping double-clear in the Team Competition for team Eye Candy. She’s taking the same approach this week and hoping for the same result. That plan is off to a perfect start with a victory for her and Christiano in the Two-Phase CSI 5* to kick off MLSJ at the American Gold Cup CSI 5*.

Christiano, a 10-year-old Brandenburg gelding (Canoso x Compliment) owned by Future Adventures, is in winning form for Millar and will be her go-to mount to represent Eye Candy on Saturday.

Hot on her heels, fellow Canadian Sean Jobin (CAN) finished second riding Coquelicot vh Heuvelland Z, owned by Foxridge Farms Stables, while Alex Granato (USA) took third aboard Helios vh Nosahoeve for owner Kisma Equestrian LLC.

Winner’s Circle – Amy Millar (CAN)

My horse was jumping very well today. When I got into the speed phase I wanted to challenge him. I know where I’m at with him so I can push him when I get to that team event. He just kept answering all my challenges by jumping better. – Amy Millar (CAN)
