Valkenswaard, The Netherlands – July 30, 2022 – The second day of exciting action at Tops International Arena in Valkenswaard showcased the exceptional horse and rider talent across all sections in various classes on the grass and sand arenas. It was Christian Kukuk (GER) who reigned supreme in the €51,300 Speed Challenge CSI 4* with his fast and furious mare Nice van’t Zorgvliet.

Knocking Jessica Springsteen (USA) off top spot after her exception round on Hungry Heart (Baltimore x Loucaibo), the German and the 9-year-old chestnut Belgian Warmblood mare (Emerald x Heartbreaker) were almost two seconds faster, crossing the finish line in 65.57 compared to the Springsteen’s time of 67.36 seconds.

Laura Kraut (USA) made it an American silver and bronze as she secured third place on Calgary Tame (Old Chape Tame x Kashmir van’t Schuttershof), who is known for his vast stride and super fast turns. The duo were right on the heels of Springsteen, finishing only six-hundredths of a second behind (67.42s).
