Julien Anquetin & Blood Diamond du Pont Power to the Top in €52,000 Longines Trophy CSI 4*

La Coruña, Spain – July 16, 2022 – The €52,000 Longines Trophy CSI 4* brought to an end a great day of top sport on Saturday at A Coruña – Casas Novas CSI 4* at Hipica Casas Novas and it was Julien Anquetin (FRA) and Blood Diamond du Pont who claimed the crown.

Twelve of the total of 40 combinations who lined-up for the 1.50m winning round challenge managed to clear all the fences and complete the course within the time allowed, therefore returning for a second time. Riders and horses showed their form once again as 9 of the finalist managed to repeat the feat. In the end, Anquetin and the 11-year-old bay Selle Français gelding (Diamant de Semilly x Arpege Pierreville) pulled out all the aces up their sleeves, leaving the competition behind with their time of 39.24 seconds.

 Julien left one of the fastest riders in the dust. In fact, another Frenchman, giving Les Bleus a one-two. Roger-Yves Bost (FRA) rode Bluemuch des Baleines (Chacco-Blue x Clinton) towards silver honors in 40.71 seconds while Duarte Seabra (POR) and HHS Seabra (Tinaranas Inspector x Cavalier Royale) completed the podium in 41.19 seconds.

Besides the jackpot, Julien Anquetin (FRA) also took home the Longines Trophy and a timepiece of the renowned brand.
